“One Of Those Days”: Atletico Madrid Record-Breaker Alexander Sorloth Hits Four

Alexander Sorho succeeded four goals in the first half hour to feed Atletico Madrid with a 4-0 victory against Real Sociedad on Saturday at La Liga. The quadruple of the Norwegian Hitman helped Atletico to tighten their grip in third place, while the Real Flump at 12th. Sorho finished a hat -trick in the first 11 minutes, the oldest in the history of La Liga, beating triple in the 15th minute in 1929 and 1941 by the Carles of Europa Bestit and the Mundo of Valencia, respectively. “It’s a good feeling and I had one of these days today,” Sorho told Dazn.

“The ball just seemed to come across my feet, I was ready in the box, everything entered and (there were) also good passes from my teammates, therefore … incredible.”

Atletico coach Diego Simeone often relied on Soulloth as a super-subject this season after joining last summer, but the 29-year-old showed what he could do from the start in a devastating opening period.

The former Real Sociedad striker dissected the Basque side, opening the scoring after seven minutes with a fatal finish of the cross of Pablo Barrios.

In the 10th minute, Sorloth jumped, this time by drilling at the house on the edge of the box in front of the desperate dive of Alex Remiro.

The third, in the 11th minute, was offered to him by the defense of Sociedad Comical Real and the attacker swallowed up his luck at a bland range.

SORLOT marked his fourth in the 30th minute with another powerful finish after Javi GALAN found it with a low cross.

It was his 17th strike of the season at La Liga, with its transport of four goals which sent him to fly in the list of scores in Spain, making him the highest fourth scorer.

Last season, when she was playing for Villarreal, Sorloth managed four goals in a 17-minute spell against the Real Madrid champions in a 4-4 draw.

The only other players in the history of the Liga to score four goals twice or more are the former striker of Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo and the former duo of Barcelona Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

“It’s a good group to do,” said Sorho.

“Of course, I want to be at La Liga for many years and have another game like this.”

‘I’m going to be there’

Sorloth hit the crossbar in the second half when he almost marked a fifth.

“I played very good football, mainly as a substitute, now more recently in the 11 beginners and I am really happy and I feel much better,” added Sorho.

“You can also see that my teammates know my shopping all the time now, especially on the right side, they just know that I am in the box, they don’t even have to look, just cross it and I will be there.”

Atletico coach Simeone said that his attacker had the Midas touch.

“Each ball has arrived at it ended up as a goal,” said Simeone.

“Beyond his four goals, he is a very important player, as long as he plays for – 30 minutes, 45 or 90.”

The Atletico season was disappointing, ending without a trophy, but they will participate in the Club World Cup this summer.

“It’s very important for the club … We were better than Barcelona in the Champions League in the past four years to get there,” said Simeone.

Earlier, Villarreal maintained its push for football from the Champions League next season with a victory at the end of 1-0 in Girona.

The yellow submarine, fifth, with the first five qualifications, needed a head of the 89th minute of Karl Etta Eyong to tear off the Montilivi against a team from Gérona in difficulty.

The Catalans were without coach Michel Sanchez because he is under observation at the hospital on “precaution”, said Girona on Friday against an undisclosed disease.

Villarreal dominated the game, but found only a breakthrough when the crossing of Alfonso Pedraza found the midfielder of Cameroon Eyong.

The victory places the level of Villarreal with Bilbao athletic fourth over 61 points, four ahead of Real Betis, sixth, which welcomes Osasuna on Sunday.

Mallorca, ninth, kept its European football hopes alive with a 2-1 victory against the real relegated Valladolid.
