Arne Slot refused to comment on the reported by Liverpool of the Bayer Leverkusen defender, Jeremie Frimpong, but the boss of the Reds is already working on plans to make the Premier League champions even stronger next season. The right back of England Alexander-Arnold may not be the only player to leave in the coming months.
Caoimhin Kelleher, Kostas Tsimikas, Harvey Elliott, Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa are among those who are confronted with an uncertain future.
The Italian striker Chiesa had a hard time having an impact, although he was the only new signature of the first season of slot in charge.
But Slot insisted that the former Juventus star was just unhappy to be against the Mohamed Salah form, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo in the battle for one of the two large roles attacking in his team.
“Unfortunately for him, he’s in competition with Mo Salah when it comes to the right wing, but I think he can also play as a leftIe, but he has Gakpo and Diaz,” said Slot.
