The director of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mo Bobat, said that the skipper Rajat Comidar had recovered very quickly from his finger injury, and that swelling has decreased considerably. Patidar struck in the nets Thursday and Friday without carrying the protective splint, which aroused hopes of his availability for the match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday. “Rajat is going well. He had an injury in hand, but he developed very slowly. “Obviously, we will lose Jacob Bethel after a few games and we will lose Lungi Ngidi after a few games. There is an obvious impact there. Over time, we will think a little about these replacements and we will try to look who could be able to come to consolidate these positions,” he explained.
Bobat said that the unexpected break was useful for the players to resume their breath in the middle of the hectic IPL calendar and release with their families.
“It was a few unusual days for everyone. For me, personally, there was a lot to settle and it was a few days busy. For many of our guys, it was a well-deserved rest. So, some of them liked to go home, see family, even if only for a few days.
“And, in fact, we even said yesterday, the boys came with a lot of energy for their practice. So, as far as the group is concerned, it seems to be in a very good place,” he added.
