Major Update On Josh Hazlewood Ahead Of RCB’s IPL 2025 Restart: “Recovering From…”

The director of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mo Bobat, said that the skipper Rajat Comidar had recovered very quickly from his finger injury, and that swelling has decreased considerably. Patidar struck in the nets Thursday and Friday without carrying the protective splint, which aroused hopes of his availability for the match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday. “Rajat is going well. He had an injury in hand, but he developed very slowly. For him, probably the disturbance (stopping the IPL because of the Indo-Pak border tension) gave a few more days to resume this precocious healing, so that the swelling goes down, and for him to get used to resuming a bat.

“He has practiced in recent days and he is fine,” said Bobat during the pre-match meeting here.

Patidar had suffered the injury during RCB’s home match against Chennai Super Kings a few days ago.

The Josh Hazlewood stimulator, who breastfeeding a shoulder injury, did not join the RCB and Bobat said that the team had conversations with Australia Cricket for updates.

“Josh is our only player not here right now. He is recovering from his shoulder not to have. He does this with Australia Cricket.

“Our medical team and their medical teams have assumed what these details look like and it takes just that day,” he said.

The reprogramming of the IPL launched a key in the strategic part of the teams in terms of players. RCB will soon lose Jacob Bethel and Lungi Ngidi because of their national commitments, and Bobat said they had enough time to think about replacements.

“I am sure that all the teams have experienced the same thing. Once your players have returned home and once the dates have been extended, this creates a little uncertainty. We talked a lot with our guys abroad before they even leave. Most of them were quite categorical that they wanted to come back and finish the work.

“Obviously, we will lose Jacob Bethel after a few games and we will lose Lungi Ngidi after a few games. There is an obvious impact there. Over time, we will think a little about these replacements and we will try to look who could be able to come to consolidate these positions,” he explained.

Bobat said that the unexpected break was useful for the players to resume their breath in the middle of the hectic IPL calendar and release with their families.

“It was a few unusual days for everyone. For me, personally, there was a lot to settle and it was a few days busy. For many of our guys, it was a well-deserved rest. So, some of them liked to go home, see family, even if only for a few days.

“And, in fact, we even said yesterday, the boys came with a lot of energy for their practice. So, as far as the group is concerned, it seems to be in a very good place,” he added.
