Pep Guardiola To Decide On Jack Grealish Future At End Of Season

Manchester City’s boss Pep Guardiola will make a decision on the future of Jack Grenish at the end of the season. Grealish has fallen into disgrace with Guardiola since his main role in the Treble campaign in 2023 in the city. The 29-year-old did only seven first league departures this quarter and was left on the bench while City collapsed with a 1-0 shock defeat in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace. This snob has fueled speculations that the English winger could leave the Etihad stadium during the summer transfer window.
Guardiola said that discussions will take place between outgoing director of football Txiki Begiristain, his successor Hugo Viana and Grealish representatives before deciding if he will still be with City next season.
“We did not speak, I did not speak with him,” Guardiola told journalists on Monday.
“People don’t believe me, but these things belong to the agents and the club and the Txiki, and in this case Hugo too. The two will decide.
“What’s going to happen, but he has to come back to start playing for a few minutes.”
Guardiola accepts that the former star of Aston Villa, Grealish, who has two years left on his contract, will not be satisfied with his lack of action.
“It’s not just Jack. There is not a single player in my locker room, and I think all the changing rooms around the world, it’s happy when they don’t play,” he said.
“When the team wins and wins, she must understand how everything goes, but they are not happy.
“They are there to play and, when they do not play, they are not satisfied. This is the normal position in all clubs.”
A player leaving definitively is Kevin de Bruyne, who should make his last appearance at home for the club during the first league effort on Tuesday with Bournemouth.
The 33 -year -old midfielder is without contract in June and will leave after a glorious decade at the Etihad in which he won 16 trophies.
Despite the Belgian claim that he is still good enough to play in the Premier League, Guardiola thinks that the time has come to move on after injuries and bad shape has reduced his efficiency in the past two years.
“There are players who are really difficult to replace, really, really difficult for many reasons,” he said.
“We know that but the season we have made is the season we have made and we cannot deny it. Of course, we have to go ahead.”
