Mumbai Indians Penalised With Bizarre No-Ball For Breaching Little-Known IPL Rule vs Delhi Capitals

The Mumbai Indians were penalized with non-ball after a little-known rupture in the 2025 match IPL against the Capitals of Delhi on Wednesday. During the third delivery of the fifth, Will Jacks was playing Bowling at Vipraj Nigam when the referee decided to report without ball. The reason for the decision was the fact that there were only three fields of fields on the mi lag. Depending on the official IPL match game conditions in section 28.4.1, there should not be more than five fields of fields on the side. “At the time of delivery, there may not be more than 5 fields of fields on the side,” reads the playing conditions.

Coming to the match, the Doughty 73 of Suryakumar Yadav did not prove to be the difference because the Mumbai Indians sealed the fourth and last place of the dam with a tronding of 59 Delhi Capitals.

The Masterclass of Suryakumar – a blow of 43 bullets with seven four and a half -dozen in an unfavorable situation – paved the way for a dominant victory. The five champions did not make the playoffs last year.

Delhi Capitals, who entered this competition with their fair share of opportunity to reach the Final Four, saw the tables lit on them when Mi Bathers collected 48 points on the last two Overs.

But the visitors were also guilty of a gentle response in a Do-ou-Die competition which made their first order order in the power game breath, leaving the rest of the competition a simple formality.

Chasing 181, Delhi Capitals, who was without regular Axar Patel skipper in this match, rolled for 121 in 18.2 Overs, Sameer Rizvi (39) being the top scorer.

Mitchell Santner was the choice of the quisors of the Indians of Mumbai, returning 4-0-11-3 and counting Rizvi, Vipraj Nigam (20) and Ashutosh Sharma (18). Jasprit Bumrah experienced another successful outing on his return to 3.2-0-12-3.
