In a frank article accompanied by photos and videos of the hospital and the gymnasium, Sharma has thought about the importance of listening to his body. “Life has its way of slowing down to make sure you listen,” he wrote, adding that the pain started during a blow for Ruslaan. Like many, he initially brushed it. “Nothing too dramatic, so I did what most of us tend to do … ignored it, I masked it and I continued.”
However, the condition has worsened during the shooting of his next project. What seemed to be a minor initially had an impact on his ability to make basic movements, including dance, waterfalls and stretching. “What I thought was temporary turned out to be much more serious,” he admitted.
The actor revealed that he had undergone two surgeries and is now officially on the road to recovery. “This phase taught me that good health is not only a pack of six – this is what is happening inside. Do not know the whispers that your body sends you. Act early. Healed well,” urged Sharma.
He expressed his gratitude to his medical team, producer Sajid Qureshi, and director Kiran Korrapati for their support during the weeks of uncertain recovery. Sharma also thanked his wife Arpita Khan Sharma and their children, Ahil and Ayat, for having transformed his recovery into a period of heat and comfort.
Always, he shared for a moment with his son, who called him “Wolverine” and said: “Dad, you heal quickly … I need my Wolverine.” Aayush put an end to his note with a renewed determination: “I come back stronger. For you. For me. For all this.”
