Veteran actor-producer Dheeraj Kumar, best known for Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, passes away at 80 : Bollywood News

According to information, Dheeraj Kumar died in Mumbai after fighting acute pneumonia. His family had previously declared his critical state of health, asking for prayers and privacy. Unfortunately, despite intensive care, the veteran could not recover.
The trip of Dheeraj Kumar to the entertainment industry began in 1965 when he participated in a talent competition alongside Rajesh Khanna and Subhash Ghai. Although Rajesh Khanna won, Dheeraj stood out as one of the finalists and made a niche in the decades that followed.
He appeared in several Hindi and Punjabi films in the 1970s and 80s, including Roti Kapda Aur Makaan,, SwamiAnd Bezubaan. He played in more than 20 Punjabi films between 1970 and 1984.
Later, he went on television and left a lasting impact as a producer. He founded the banner Creative Eye and was the strength behind popular shows such as Milee, Kahan Gaye Woh Log, Maayka and the drama of the courtroom Adaalat. His contribution helped shape Indian television content in the early 2000s.
