Bandish bandits Star Ritwik Bhowmik is ready to make his theater debut with Abhootpurva (unprecedented signifier). Bhowmik, who commands a huge online audience, has become one of the stars of his generation. The film, describes as a unique Rom-Com, a mixture of romance, horror and comedy, brings together Bhowmik with seven acclaimed actors and a female track, whose names will be revealed in a full announcement of distribution next month.

In the context of AGRA in the 90s, Abhootpurva is presented as a comforting and fun theatrical experience. The film mixes the innocence of the first love, the quirks of the life of a small town and an unexpected supernatural touch. Music is also at the heart of the film, highlighting the nostalgia for the decade.
In an exclusive quote to Bollywood HungamaRitwik Bhowmik shared: “This script was incredibly special from the very first narration. He has stayed with me since; He persists as a beautiful dream. This is exactly the kind of narration of which I always wanted to be part of the smallest meaning, a story on love, innocence and the heart.
Producer Khyati Madaan added: “Abhootpurva is a film very close to my heart. It takes place in AGRA from the 90s, where love was pure, simple and yet greater than life. With romance, humor, nostalgia and a supernatural touch, this film is designed as a real experience on the big screen. The film is produced by Khyati Madaan under its banner and not entertainment and Sumit Kumar Mishra. The cameras should run in November 2025.
This marks the second major announcement of Not Out Entertainment this year, after the revelation of the next film by Ahan Shetty, positioned as the first horror feature of India inspired by a national tragedy. Madaan, who previously directed campaigns in major Indian studios such as Red Chillies Entertainment, Disney India and Maddock Films, recently unveiled a diversified production slate which includes a drama of life for life made by Habib Faisal (Doing dooni chaar, ishaqzaade) In addition to these gender flexion projects.
