The makers of Star Plus’ iconic daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi have officially confirmed that Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates will be making a special appearance in the series, much to the delight of fans. After the buzz generated yesterday by a teaser featuring Tulsi (Smriti Irani) during a mysterious video call, the channel has just revealed the sequence, putting an end to speculation.

The cameo sees Tulsi, upset over her relationship with her daughter Pari, interacting with Gates via video call. Reportedly, Gates would offer advice to Tulsi on balancing her family responsibilities while taking care of herself – an unprecedented moment of transition on Indian television.
Talking about the special sequence, producer Ektaa Kapoor shared, “THE BEST PART WAS THE WRITING… Absolute delicious JAI SHREE KRISHNA said so sweetly by @thisisbillgates.” Fans on social media also expressed their excitement. One fan wrote: “How powerful! This is a crossover that no one saw coming. Awesome!” Another commented, “I don’t know why I feel so happy and proud to see this,” while another joked, “We had Bill Gates in Indian TV’s daily soap before GTA 6.” Ayyaz Ahmed humorously added, “Bill Gates ka sapna Poora Hone Jaa Raha hai… he always wanted to play Mihir Virani.”
