Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan file Rs 4 crores lawsuit against Google, YouTube over deepfakes: Report : Bollywood News
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan brought legal action against Google and Youtube, depositing a trial of Rs 4 Cros on the alleged abusive use of their images and videos through Deepfakes by Deepled Genera. The Bollywood couple, who had previously affirmed their personality rights, accused the platforms of having enabled manipulated content to spread without control.

According to a Reuters report, the Bachchans have raised concerns about the moderation of the content of YouTube and third -party training policies, saying that they create a space for abuse. The judicial files would have declared: “Such content used to train AI models has the potential to multiply the use cases of any counterfeit content – first downloaded on YouTube and consulted by the public, then also be used to train.”
The legal complaint highlights deep “flagrant” and “sexually explicit” videos that have been broadcast online. One of these channels, Ai Bollywood Ishq, would welcome more than 250 manipulated clips featuring celebrities, with several videos crossing millions of views. Among them, there are tampered clips showing that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Salman Khan in a swimming pool, and Abhishek Bachchan in manufactured sequences where he suddenly kisses an actress or reacts with anger with modified scenes.
Last month, the High Court of Delhi ordered the Google council to submit a detailed written response. The next hearing in this area is scheduled for January 15.
On a professional level, Abhishek Bachchan is preparing for two major projects – KingAn overall drama with Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji and Abhay Verma, and Raja ShivajiA biopic on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with Riteish Deshmukh in the titular role. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, on the other hand, has officially confirmed any future film.
