A first century of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by Mitchell Marsh and about fifty rapid Nicholas Pooran shot propelled the super giants of Lucknow (LSG) to a total mammoths of 235/2 in their 20 Overs against Gujarat Titans (GT) at Narendra Modi Stadium Thursday in the 18th season of IPL. The GT Shubman Gill skipper won the draw and chose to play first. Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh opened the sleeves for LSG, providing a solid start. The duo added a 50 -point stand in the power game while LSG reached 53 for no loss, Markram being the attacker.
Just after the PowerPlay, Marsh continued the holder of the Violette Prasidh Krishna cap, striking him for six and four. He reached his sixth fifty IPL in the 10th season, breaking a six of Sai Kishore in 33 balls.
However, Kishore struck the same, rejecting Markram for 36 out of 24 bullets. His blow included three four and two six. Nicholas Poornan joined Marsh at The Crease and announced his arrival by hitting Kishore for six on his very first ball. Halfway, the LSG was 97/1.
Marsh then faced the veteran spinner Rashid Khan, looting 25 points in terms of end, including two six and three four. LSG has crossed the 150 -point mark in the 15th, marking 13 points off Kishore. At the end of 15, they were 160/1.
The Marais-Pooran duo continued their aggressive assault, breaking 20 points from the Mohammed Siraj final. Marsh raised its first CENTURY IPL in just 56 bullets in the 17th. The pair added 100 points for the second window in just 42 bullets.
Pooran maintained its shape in IPL 2025, reaching its fifth fifty of the season in just 23 balls. Arshad Khan finally ended the huge partnership by removing Marsh for 117 out of 64 balls – a brilliant round with ten four and eight six.
The captain of the LSG Rishabh Pant came for the last two Overs and had an impact, breaking Rabada for two six while LSG posted a total of 235/2 intimidating in 20 Overs.
In the Bowling department, Sai Kishore (1/34) was the most effective for Gujarat. Arshad Khan also claimed a counter, while the rest of the GT courses made a counter without a counter.
