Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that they had received a green light from the government to visit Pakistan for their next T20I series of five games, from May 27. There was a certain uncertainty if the series would continue following cross -border tension between India and Pakistan during the second week of May. However, according to the latest reports, the Bangladesh cricket team is ready to visit Pakistan after receiving the green light. The T20I series will end on June 5.

According to a report of SpitThe BCB received a green signal by the Bangladesh government.

“We have the green signal (of the government) although we have not yet received the official letter that we are waiting for as soon as possible. But as far as I know, the government has made the decision in principle that they will allow us to visit Pakistan for the next tour,” said a BCB official in Cricbuzz.

According to the report, the dates of the tour have been slightly postponed. Earlier, the series was to start on May 25 and end on June 3. However, after recent developments, the dates were shifted by two days in the revised BCB route. The main reason is that the final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) had to be postponed until May 25.

Earlier, Bangladesh Cricket Board had competed to obtain the government’s authorization and to speak to players concerning the decision.

“After receiving the official government letter, we will start talking with our players when we have learned that some of them hesitate to travel by citing security reasons,” he said. “One thing we can make sure is that we will not push anyone,” said the BCB manager.

Earlier, this is what the BCB said given the development situation:

“The BCB wishes to reiterate that the security and security of its players and its support staff remain the highest priority of the board of directors. All decisions concerning the tour will be taken with a careful examination of the current situation in Pakistan, ensuring that they are aligned with the best interest of the team and the Bangladesh cricket.”
