The reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders struggled to solve the problems of striker throughout this IPL season and the changes made to the home match against Gujarat Titans were not effective, believes that former Captain Eoin Morgan. KKR’s defeat against Gujarat Titans by 39 points here on Monday was their second consecutive defeat in the tournament, third of the last five games and fifth in eight games. It was also a home control season for the Triple Champions who also lost three of the four games at the Eden Gardens.
“Kolkata Knight Riders simply did not bounce as well as we would have loved it. It is always a good sign for a solid team with great character, but they had the same failures they showed throughout the tournament,” said Morgan Expert by Jiostar.
“They made some changes (against GT), mainly to try to get a momentum in their range of strikers, and that did not necessarily turn off. Did the changes worth it?
