Film OTT filled with action by Akshaye Khanna in 2021 Siege state: Temple attack is ready to make his theater debut under a whole new title – Akshardham: Vajra Shakti operation. Almost five years after its first digital, the high octane drama will release cinemas on July 4, 2025, offering the public a captivating and large screen of one of the most heartbreaking terrorist incidents in India.

Akshaye Khanna Starrer Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti obtains a big screen outing on July 4

Directed by Ken Ghosh, the film is a dramatic recreation of the 2002 terrorist attack against the Akshardham temple in Gujarat. He captures the horror of the assault and the bravery of the commandos of the National Security Guard (NSG) which led the operation to neutralize the attackers. History, inspired by real events, mixes tension, patriotism and action to an equal measure.

To mark the announcement, the manufacturers have published a new poster on Instagram, which presents haunting temple pillars throwing the silhouette of a lonely armed commando – a striking visual which evokes both reverence and courage. Legend is read as follows: “An act of terror has encountered the unrivaled bravery, the history of courage, sacrifice and survival comes to life in #Akshardhamoperationvajrashakti”.

Akshaye Khanna makes the headlines like Major Hanut Singh, a fierce and strategic NSG officer. The whole understands Gautam Rode as Major Samar, Vivek Dahiya as Captain Rohit Bagga, Akshay Oberoi as Captain Bibek and Abhilash Chaudhary depicting the main antagonist, Iqbal terrorist. The support roles are tried by Parvin Dabas, Samir Soni, Abhimanyu Singh, Mir Sarwar, Manjari Fadnis, Chandan Roy and Shivam Bhaargava.

The film is presented by Zee Studios and produced by Abhimanyu Singh in collaboration with Contiloe Pictures. Key credits include Tejal Shetyye as director of photography, Mukesh Thakur in charge of publishing, and a scenario written by William Barthwick and Simon Fantauzzo.
