The American Gretchen Walsh broke her own 100 m world record of butterflies on Saturday, recording 55.09 seconds in the rounds of the Reunion of the Tyr Pro Swim series in Orlando, Florida. Walsh had established the previous world record of 55.18 seconds during the American Olympic tests in Indianapolis on June 15 of last year, although she was satisfied with money at the event at the Paris Olympic Games behind his teammate Torri Huske. Walsh’s record one day came after the double gold medalist Olympic relay joined Sarah Sjostrom in Sweden as the only woman to break 25 seconds for the 50m butterfly, with 24.93 to win the final.
