Ex-India World No. 1 Cruises Into 2nd Round Of Thailand Masters BWF Super 300 Event

Former Indian Naveter No. 1, Kidambi Srikanth, has entered the second round of the Thailand Masters BWF Super 300 event with a victory against his opponent here on Wednesday. Srikanth beat Danii Dubovenko Israel 21-13 21-18 in the opening tower of the simple male. This is Srikanth’s second consecutive victory against Dubovenko, having previously defeated him in the Macao 2024 Open in September 2024. Srikanth will then face Jason Gunawan of Hong Kong.

Among the other Indians in simple male, S Sankar Muthusamy Subramanian defeated June Wei Cheam in Malaysia in Malaysia 15-21 21-15 21-19 in a difficult three-game competition. He will then be faced Chico aura dwi Wardoyo in Indonesia.

Ayush Shetty has been shown at the Porte de la Malaysia Jing Hong Kok 15-21 17-21, while Mithun Manjunath lost another Malaysian in Sholeh Aidil 14-21 13-21 in simple male.

Srikanth was dominant from the start, heading for an advance of 6-0 in the first match and his opponent had trouble, giving the Indian an advance of 1-0.

Srikanth continued in the same vein and also ran the blocks in the second match, but the Israeli shuttle also fought a better fight this time.

Srikanth led 11-7 at the interval of the second match and maintained his momentum to close the game at 21-18.
