The Federation of Cine Employees of Western India (FWICE) and several votes from industry, including filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, have now been strongly opposed to the film, calling for a boycott of Diljit Dosanjh.

In an interview with Ani, Ashoke Pandit said: “The case is very serious because Diljit Dosanjh is a compulsive and regular lawyer, with regard to our industry. He has always promoted Pakistani artists, Pakistani singers, Pakistani actors. ”
The controversy gained momentum after the FWICE wrote to the Central Council for the Certification of the Film (CBFC) and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, exhorting them not to grant Sardaar Ji 3 A certificate of censur and to block his release in India. “When the trailer for Sardaar Ji 3 was published, the Federation of Employees of India in West India, which is the mother organization of 36 trades, immediately wrote a letter to the ministry of CBFC and I & B, that this film should not obtain a Censur certificate, and it should not be published here, “added Pandit.
The strict position of FWICE is rooted in the notice of non-cooperation that the Federation published the day after the 2019 Pulwama attack, which explicitly banned associations, artists and technicians of the Indian film industry of collaboration with Pakistani artists in all trades. “The Federation of Employees of India in Western India had published a non-cooperation notice after the attack on Pulwama. Not all people will participate with a Pakistani artist. Whether it’s a producer, a director, a singer or a musical director.
He stressed that the opinion remains in force and has never been withdrawn. “We have reiterated all the attacks that our opinion is always valid. We have not changed it or withdrawn,” he said.
ASHOKE PANDIT also urged producer associations and event companies to distant Diljit Dosanjh. “We make another opinion, where we call upon our producer organizations, to all the members of the Association of Producers, who do not throw it, do not launch it with it. And apart from that, all event societies, we write to them, that in any of their events, did not let him participate, did he not add his services. It is very important to boycott it from this country, “he added.
In the meantime, Sardaar Ji 3 is scheduled for the world release on June 27, but its fate in India is now uncertain.
