The Indian swimmers Advané Page and Sajan Prakash arrived in the final of male events of 200 m back and 200 m of male butterfly at the Asian Games in progress in Hangzhou on Friday. In Men’s 200 m Backstroke, with the schedules of 2: 03.01, his new personal record, Adit managed to appear in the list of eight best swimmers qualifying for the final, finishing seventh. Srihari, however, finished 14th with schedules of 2: 07.19, which was not enough to help him reach the final.

Sajan also reached the final of the competition for 200 m of butterflies with a sixth place with schedules of 1: 58.40, only 5.10 seconds behind the Tomoru Honda table in Japan, which also set a new Asian game record.

Aneesh Gowda, however, ended in 13th in the sleeve and could not get a place in the final.

In the 50 m feminine butterfly, Nina Venkatesh timed schedules of 27.80 seconds to obtain a 14th place in sleeves, which was not enough for her to go to the final, but enough to help her establish a new national record.

Coming to the free 400 m male event, Aryan Nehra and Kushagra Rawat failed to go to the final when they finished outside the first eight competitors.

In the 4x100m female relay, the Indian team finished in ninth place with schedules of 4: 23.46, which will at least help them to guarantee a reserve position for the finals.

Swimming events take place at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Aquatic Sports Arena from September 24 to 29. The Indian quota has 21 swimmers – 12 men and nine women.
