“Asked Curator For…”: RCB Mentor Dinesh Karthik Adds Fuel To IPL Pitch Controversy

The battle of the franchises of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against the battle of the curator has now reached the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. While the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) underwent a defeat at 6 titles against the Capitals of Delhi, the mentor of the franchise Home Dinesh Karthik turned his attention to the pitch curator, openly affirming that this is not the kind of land that his team wanted. Karthik, at the post-match press conference on Thursday, said the curator was invited to prepare a “good window” who would help the strikers for the first two games. However, this was not the case.

Addressing the media after the second successive defeat of his team, Karthik said that it was a delicate counter that his team did not expect, because the conservative instructions were clear to prepare a track adapted to the strikers.

“I think the way the T20 cricket is, the more races, the better for the diffuser, the better for fans. They all like to see the limits,” said Karthik. “During the first two games, we asked for good throws. But it turned out to be how it was difficult to beat, for sure.

“Certainly, this is not a terrain that helps too much strikers. It is difficult ground. This has been the case so far in the two games we have played.”

Karthik also said he was about to chat with the preservative of the house at home in the future.

“There was an oscillation when people tried to stay there and also fight it. It was difficult to run the strike. And the big blow was also very difficult. So we tried to control it [the urge to keep hitting]”Karthik said.” But, in the end, it is a T20. You have to play a few shots and it got the counter for a few strikers.

“We will obviously chat with the curator. We trust him to do his job, and we will try to do what we can,” he said.
