After 5 Consecutive Defeats And 3 Unsuccessful Run Chases, Rajasthan Royals Set Unwanted IPL Record




The Rajasthan Royals (RR) is found on the verge of qualifying for the scene of the playoffs in IPL 2025 after having undergone another defeat against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Chasing 206, RR seemed ready for victory, requiring only 18 points from the last two Overs. However, the loss of several late counters allowed them to lose 11 points. He marked the fifth consecutive defeat of RR, and the third consecutive defeat where they had lost a prosecution in a fairly winning position. They also equaled an unwanted record.

In their last three games, RR has managed to lose despite the search for victory. Against Delhi Capital (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), RR failed to continue 9 the last. Then, against RCB, they wasted pursuing the race despite the need for only 18 of the last 12 balls.

The stars of the intermediate order of RR, Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer, were unable to pass the team over the line in these matches. Jurel and Hetmyer were kept by the franchise for a huge driver of Rs 25 handsets.

The Rajasthan Royals is in eighth position in the 2025 IPL point table, having won only two games so far this season. Having lost seven of their nine games, they are on the verge of elimination.

RR also had to face several problems, on and off the field. On the field, they did not have the expertise of ordinary captain Sanju Samson for five of their nine games.

Outside the field, RR was accused of fixing the matches by Jaydeep Bihani, head of the ad hoc committee of the Rajasthan Cricket Association Association (RCA), which was firmly rejected by the franchise. He emerged via reports according to which the accusations may have been brought due to a drop in the number of match tickets provided to the arc in IPL 2025.
