Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is involved in “active and in progress discussions” with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) concerning their white ball tour this month. This comes in the middle of the growing tensions between India and Pakistan. Bangladesh should participate in an Five T20 series against Pakistan in Lahore from May 21 in Lahore and Faisalabad, but Indo-Pake tensions have raised doubts about the series, according to Espncricinfo. In a statement, BCB said: “The BCB wishes to reiterate that the security and security of its players and its support staff remain the highest priority of the Council,” an official statement said on Saturday, as quoted by Espncricinfo.

“All decisions concerning the tour will be made with particular attention to the current situation in Pakistan, ensuring that they are aligned with the best interests of the Bangladesh team and cricket,” added the press release.

The Bangladesh team will go to Dubai later this week to play the United Arab Emirates (Water) in two T20is.

Bangladesh, Rise Hossain and Nishad Rana players, who participated in Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is now indefinitely suspended, returned home on Friday.

Rishad (Team Lahore Qalandars) and Rana (Peshawar Zalmi) arrived in Dacca on Friday and will leave with the rest of the Bangladesh team for the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday. In the event that PSL will resume soon, it is unlikely that the pair will return to the tournament, keeping in mind the upcoming international commitments of Bangladesh.
