BCCI Pays Special Tribute To Indian Armed Forces Ahead Of Rajasthan Royals vs Punjab Kings IPL Game. Video Goes Viral

The players of Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings aligned themselves for the Indian national anthem to pay tribute to the Indian armed forces before their 2025 IPL clash at the Sawai Mansingh stadium on Sunday. The RR-PBKS confrontation is the first appropriate match to occur after the takeover of the 2025 IPL on Saturday, following a week-long suspension due to cross-border tensions with Pakistan. The Saturday’s confrontation between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders was washed due to the rain in Bengaluru without print, fading the excitation of the restart of the IPL.

In tribute to the Indian Armed Forces, which displayed their impeccable value to protect the compatriots of the enemy, the players sang the national anthem to honor their precious contributions before the start of the match. “Thank you to the armed forces” was the message displayed on stadium screens when the Indian national anthem was played.

During the draw, the captain of the Kings of Punjab Shreyas Iyer thanked the Indian armed forces for the safeguard of the country’s borders in the midst of tensions with Pakistan.

“Congratulations to the army forces who worked for the country and made sure that we are in a comfortable position,” he said during the draw after choosing to beat first.

Mitchell Owen, Marco Jansen and Azmatullah Omarzai are the three players abroad for PBKS.

For the Royals of Rajasthan, an entirely fit Sanju Samson returned to the captain on the side, replacing Nitish Rana in the XI playing. Kwena Maphaka came for Jofra Archer.
