The Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) has zero a date for restarting the Premier Indian League (IPL) 2025, sources close to the board of directors said in NDTV. The tournament was suspended for a week in the middle of tensions on the border between India and Pakistan. However, India and Pakistan agree for a ceasefire, the tournament should resume, probably by Saturday. According to the sources of NDTV, the IPL board of directors plans to extend its window until May 30, when the tournament resumes after the suspension.

The BCCI will share the revised franchise calendar by Sunday evening (May 11), the remaining matches likely to be played on three sites — Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.

The BCCI was forced to suspend the IPL on Friday, with 16 games to play, while the Indian-Pakistan border conflict threatened to become a full-fledged war after the Pahalgam terrorist attack and India Sindoor.

A total of 12 league games and four eliminatory stadium games have not yet been played in the tournament. Most of the foreign recruits, which participate in the League for various teams, have already left the country.
