Ben Stokes Expresses Confidence In Resuming All-Rounder Duties For England

England captain Ben Stokes expressed his confidence by resuming his versatile role when the team begins his summer summer summer through a four -day match against Zimbabwe, before the series of five very important games against India took centersttage. Stokes had been out of service since its tearing of the left hamstrings during the final test in New Zealand in December 2024. After undergoing surgery in January, Stokes is now ready for captain of England when they host Zimbabwe in a four-day test at Trent Bridge, from May 22. “I feel good. On the field, I know it will be different from my training.
“But in terms of my role as a player, this complete designer, hitting at six years old, trying to dominate all the situations I find myself, that I have a bat or a ball in my hand, which I want to get back on the field, on the biggest scene. I know that I already did it on Thursday.
A previous injury in the same region, suffered by playing the hundred of last August, had excluded Stokes from three home tests against Sri Lanka and a match outside in Pakistan. Stokes also insisted that he felt more fit than he has never been in his player career.
“I always work hard. My philosophy when I am injured, is that I come back in shape than before I injure myself. I worked incredibly hard on all aspects of everything, from my physical cricket to physical form, and I know that I am going to be in position when I am back in the field to be potentially in the best possible form,” he added.
Stokes signed by revealing that he was in talks with head coach Brendon McCullum to manage his physical form and rediscover his best form in tests. “I am 33 years old, I do not want to expose myself to a situation where I am out of the field when I do not have to be.
“I talk a lot about Baz a lot about many different things, we talked about this kind of thing and how he will help me better, how he will talk to me a lot more about these things. We have been working together for so long, we have known each other and the discussions we have had in recent months have been very good.”
