Big Blow To Delhi Capitals As Bowling Coach Munaf Patel Gets Fined By IPL Due To…

Delhi Capitus’s bowling coach Munaf Patel was sentenced to a fine of 25% of his match costs and accumulated a demerit point for breaking the IPL code of driving during the raised octane match against the Royals of Rajasthan. The match went down over Wednesday evening with DC winning the Thriller Edge of the-Seat in a super plus after the two teams were equal to 188 points. The old Indian stimulator “admitted level 1 offense under article 2.20 of the IPL code of conduct, which concerns conduct contrary to the spirit of the game,” said a declaration of the IPL.

“Munaf Patel, Bowling coach Delhi Capitals was sentenced to a fine of 25% of his match costs and also accumulated a demerit point for breaking the IPL code of driving during the match of his team against the Rajasthan Royals at Stary Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on Wednesday”.

The statement did not specify Munaf’s exact offensive, but it is likely that he was penalized for his argument with a match manager after the former Indian stimulator was not authorized to send a player in the middle to transmit his message.

Munaf, a key member of the winner of the ODI World Cup 2011 from India under MS Dhoni, was appointed DC bowling coach in November from last year by replacing James Hopes.

Article 2.20 covers all types of driving contrary to the spirit of the game and are not specifically and adequately covered by specific offenses set out elsewhere in this code of conduct.

“… Article 2.20 can (depending on the severity and the context of the violation) prohibit, without limitation, the following: (a) the use of an illegal bat or an illegal goalkeeper gloves; and (b) not to comply with the provisions of clause 6.3 of the IPL game conditions”, “The IPL code of the states of conduct.

“… the context of the particular situation, and if it was deliberate, reckless, neglect, preventable and / or accidental, must be taken into account. The person who deposited the report will determine where, on gravity, driving takes place (with the range of severity starting to the conduct of a minor nature (and therefore of a level 1 offense) until the driving of an extremely serious nature (and therefore a level 4).”
