Cannes 2025: Homebound by Neeraj Ghaywan makes it to ‘Un Certain Regard’ section : Bollywood News
Neeraj Ghaywan’s film Confronted with the houseWith Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, was officially selected for the 78th Cannes Festival. It will be shown in the “A Certain Respect” section, which presents unique and artistic films from around the world.
Cannes 2025: Bound Home de Neeraj Ghaywan arrives in the “A Certain Respect” section
This film marks the return of Ghaywan to Cannes, almost ten years after his first film Masaan was screened in the same category in 2015. Confronted with the house is supported by Dharma Productions by Karan Johar and brings together a talented casting.
Karan Johar announced the news on Instagram, writing: “Homebound, our moving story led by Neeraj Ghaywan, was selected for the illustrious Cannes Festival! This moment testifies to the power of Indian cinema, presenting our unique stories, talents and perspectives for the world … This film is only a gain for our film industry, but a bile for the hope for moviegoers.
Janvi Kapoor, one of the main actors in the film, shared his excitement, saying: “A moment when Indian cinema takes control of the world. We are honored to announce that #Homebounde goes to the official selection of the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival in the big screens ”.
Ishaan Khatter, in an Instagram publication, has shared the news and described the role as its “most difficult” so far. He wrote: “A film I knew was special from the moment he entered my life and my most difficult game to date. This is what dreams are made of: pure intention, grain, compassion and truth. One of the most proud moments of my cinematographic journey so far. 7 years. “”
Confronted with the house is written and directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and presents Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa in key roles. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Ponawalla, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra, with Marijke de Souza and Melita Toscan du Plantier as co -producers.
The 78th edition of the Cannes Festival should be held from May 13 to 24.
