ZEE5 has unveiled the trailer for its next original series, Chhal Kapat the DECESS. Directed by Ajay Bhuyan, produced by Juggernaut Production, and led by the dynamic Shriya Pilgaonkar, this captivating whodunnit should be presented exclusively on ZEE5 on June 6, 2025. With a Stellar ensemble together, including Kamya Ahlawat, Ragini Dwived Smaran Sahu and Anuj Sachdeva, the series promises a story full twists and turns, secrets and deception.

In the backdrop of a beautiful haunting beauty of a village near Burhanpur, the story takes place during an intimate destination wedding. The future bride of Alisha Dixit chose her ancestral haveli for the celebration, bringing together her best childhood friends – Mehak, Ira and Shalu – in a single roof for the first time in years. What starts like a joyful meeting soon takes a dark turn. While the laughs fill the air and the old memories are revived, the long -term tensions date back to the surface – which turns into a tragedy when Shalu, now an influencer increasing social media, is found dead.

The celebration quickly descends into a psychological thriller, as a suspicion, secrets and treason cast of shadows on the festivities. Each friend wears hidden scars and simmered resentments, and as the investigation deepens, each connection begins to trigger. In the center of this scary whodunnit is the inspector Devika (played by Shriya Pilgaonkar), a net and unadorned cop with a haunted past.
Devika is not your conventional investigator – his experience as a survivor of domestic violence has forged a unique intuition that cuts deception. His personal demons do not weaken him – they sharpen his point of view, allowing him to see through lies that others could neglect. While she is digging in the tangled relations and the contradictory reasons of the group, the long -standing secrets are revealed, the friendships take place and the border between loyalty and deception.
