After two weeks of intense filming in the bustling lanes and ghats of Banaras, the cast and crew wrapped up a major milestone in the film that sparked immense excitement among fans, with behind-the-scenes glimpses flooding social media. The team is now all set to resume shooting in Mumbai right after Diwali.
Speaking about his return to Banaras, Pankaj Tripathi shared, “Every time I come to Banaras, I feel a deep sense of belonging. This city has its own rhythm: it is spiritual, raw and alive. Mirzapur: the film here reminded me why this world seems so real to all of us. Kaleen Bhaiya was born here in spirit, and every time I step into his shoes, it’s like revisiting an old chapter with new meaning. The warmth and curiosity of the people here always makes this experience special.
Ali Fazal added, “Banaras carries with it its own kind of madness, and that madness is also a big part of Guddu’s journey. Being back here was both nostalgic and fresh. We have been living with these characters for years, but every new story brings a new challenge. This stage was loaded with energy, emotion and a lot of love from the fans who turned up at every corner to watch us film.
