Bumrah returned from a long forced layoff in the injuries while the Mumbai Indians won the draw and chose to play the first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a confrontation of the Indian Premier (IPL) 2025 at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on Mumbai on Monday.

Bumrah has undergone treatment and rehabilitation since he succeeded with a lower back injury during the fifth and last test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in Sydney.

Rohit missed his last match against Lucknow super-managers due to a knee injury. Their return certainly provides the adrenaline boost that IM needs after losing three games in four games.

The skipper of the Mumbai Indians, Hardya, said that he had chosen to play first because the track looks good and the dew could enter the evening later.

“When the counter is good, it remains, and with dew, it could only improve,” said Pandya, who revealed that certain things were missing at times. He added that playing at home gives them a good chance to play the right cricket and entertain the crowd.

The Royal Challengers Skipper Bengaluru, Rajat Patidar, said that he has chosen to continue this window. However, he considered that it would not make much difference and thought that the counter would remain good for the strikers throughout the match.
