Stade Arun Jaitley received a threat of bomb by email on Friday morning, and a police complaint was recorded, a senior DDCA official told Ians. “There will be an explosion of bomb in your stadium. We have a sleepy Pakistani cell active in India. The trial will be our revenge on Operation Sindoor,” reads the mail. The place welcomed the home matches of the Capitals of Delhi in the 2025 IPL before it was suspended for a week by the BCCI on Friday. Pakistan launched air attacks against Jammu on Thursday, as well as several military stations near the western border, but they were successfully thwarted by India’s air defense systems.

Pakistan has tried strikes, involving drones and missiles, sparked power outages and sirens in several areas of Jammu-et-Cachemire, Punjab and Rajasthan. The authorities urged residents to stay inside and vigilant while emergency protocols were activated.

The attacks seem to be in retaliation for Operation Sindoor by the Indian Armed Forces on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, hence the attack on tourists from Pahalgam was planned. The terrorists killed 26 tourists-25 Indians and a Nepalese citizen near Pahalgam in Jammu-et-Cachemire.

Earlier, the head coach of the Indian cricket team Gautam Gambhir and the Mohammed Shami stimulator had received death threats by email after the horrible terrorist attack.
