According to a report in India today, the president of the FWICE, BN Tiwari, confirmed that the decision came after Border 2 Producer Bhushan Kumar personally called on the federation.
Ashoke Pandit, also commenting on the issue, said at the point of sale: “Bhushan Ji and his team were very eager to make a pro-country decision. But he also explained that the film was already complete at 80 to 85%, and most of the work involving Diljit are already completed.
However, Pandit also said that the non-cooperation directive against Diljit will remain in force for future projects. “The non-cooperation against Diljit continues. Whoever chooses to launch it in the future should be prepared for the consequences. The federation will not be held responsible for financial losses that may occur,” he said.
For the context, the controversy began after the trailer for Sardaar Ji 3 Confirmed the cast of Hania Aamir, a Pakistani actress. Following Pahalgam’s recent terrorist attack, the public feeling was still ignited by Hania’s inclusion, which was among the Pakistani celebrities who had openly criticized the Indian operation Sindoor – the counter -offensive launched in response.
As of Border 2The film is currently shot in Pune. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film presents an overall distribution including Sunny Deol, Ahan Shetty and Varun Dhawan.
