Trent Boult’s Blunt Take On Facing Vaibhav Suryavanshi In RR vs MI: “Bowled To Some Brilliant…”

The mumbai Indian stimulator, Trent Boult, described the prospect of facing Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 14, as “exciting”, but said that it was not something that would “worry” on a game of Flat Sawai Mansingh stadium. It is the beauty of this tournament, of all the players who come out and take advantage of it with both hands and I thought it did it very well.” Boult said that his experience and knowledge of the height and the conditions here would hold them in “Good Stead”.

“No, I don’t do it as a bowling player,” he said when he was asked if he anticipated another match at high scoring in this place.

“It is a field at high score; the story says that. It is a solid counter with a very fast outside field. I had the chance to discover the field in the last three seasons, so I hope that I can put this experience in good place during the next game,” added Boult.

“He is a leader in the side, obviously a very experienced bowling player and he does a large part of the wheel for our team and he has definitely raised the group since his return to the team. To move forward, he will also play a big role for us,” he said.

Boult said that Mi had benefited from different players who put vital performances.

“(The) guys got up in different games. There have been different performances that contributed throughout the season and that is what it is. If everyone wants, or this desire to want to get up and put a good performance, it is generally a good recipe to succeed in T20 cricket,” he said.

“(We) would have loved starting stronger, but there have been good discussions throughout the season and overthrowing our form in the last four or five games and winning five consecutive games is a great feeling.”
