“Un-Australian”: Australia Swimming Coach Sacked For Supporting Another Team

On Friday, swimming of Australia dismissed a member of its Olympic coache staff, saying that he had caused serious reputation damage by supporting a South Korean Rival athlete against his compatriots. Coach Michael Palfrey caused a sensation when he said that he hoped that Kim Woo -Min – that he trained at one point – would win the 400m free swimming of men instead of two Australians. Head coach Rohan Taylor said that Palfrey’s actions were “non-Australian”, but that the team had not limodi at the time because it would be too disruptive.

“Swimming Australia dismissed Michael Palfrey’s employment due to a violation of his work agreement,” the opportunity organization on Swimming Australia said on Friday.

“Palfrey turned out to have violated his employment contract by developing and causing serious damage to his reputation for Australia and noting the swimming of the interests of Australia.”

Palfrey worked with Australian swimmers Zac Incerti, Abbey Connor and Alex Perkins.

But he also supervised Kim of South Korea when he trained in Brisbane before the Games.

Palfrey wore the colors of the Australian team when he was interviewed by South Korean journalists and asked questions about Kim.

“I really hope he can win, but ultimately I really hope that he is swimming well,” said Palfrey.
