Indian athletes and fitness influencers are intended to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Clarion to combat obesity, carried out during the opening ceremony of the 38th 2025 National Games in Dehradun, according to a press release from the Sports Authority of India (SAI). The legend of Indian hockey Sreejesh underlined the need for food conscience. “Eating well is the first step towards a healthier and happier life. Make Fit Food India a lifestyle, inspired by the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji to the physical form,” he wrote on the social media platform X.

Table tennis star Manika Batra echoes the feeling, promoting the importance of conscious diet. “The food that we eat shapes our health. We are committed to nutritious choices and make Fit Food India a way of life, contributing to the mission of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for a Fitter India,” she posted on X.

The MMA icon and champion of Fit India, Sangram Singh, stressed the urgency of prioritizing health, urging people to adopt a lifestyle. “The most essential thing for the human body is to eat well and stay in shape. Our honest Prime Minister has urged this to everyone, and we have to fight obesity. At the end of their life, wealth and luxury will not matter – only our body will make us move forward. Make it in good health and take the country in advance,” said Singh in a video.

With sports icons supporting the movement, the fight against obesity is gaining momentum. Last Sunday, Fit India Sunday on Cycle Initiative at the major stadium in Dhyanchand in the national capital saw the Minister of the Union of Youth and Sport Mansukh Mandaviya leading a group of 250 doctors and nutritionists to make the Prime Minister’s call to combat obesity in India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for Clarion for the same thing during the opening ceremony of the 38th National Games in Dehradun. He called to combat obesity that affects all age groups, young and old.
