Abhishek Nayar, who has been associated with the Indian Cricket team as an assistant coach for the past eight months, has been dismissed in the middle of speculation of a flaw with a high-level member of the support staff, even if the test debacles against New Zealand and Australia are cited as a reason for its evidence. Nayar, who is often greeted for his work with the current members of the Indian team, is a former Indian cricket player. If we believe the sources of the board of directors, Nayar has already been intimated by the BCCI’s decision to separate from him.
“While the recent test debacles of India (against New Zealand and Australia) have led to baracting, but there is also a feeling in the BCCI that Nayar has become a scapegoat in the Gazon War between an important member of support staff and a senior star player,” a source of BCCI in PTI.
The coach of the implementation T Dilip, and the strength and packaging coach Soham Desai are also going out after finishing more than three years in their respective posts.
The new standard operational procedure (SOP) of the BCCI has crowned the mandate of the support staff for three years.
We learn that the very first strength and packaging coach of India, Adrian Le Roux, is likely to return for a second pass. The South African is widely credited for inaugurating a new fitness culture in the Indian team led by Surav Ganguly during the 2003 World Cup.
The secretary of the BCCI, Devajit Saikia, when he is contacted by PTI, chose to bypass the question.
“Some things are finalized. You will receive a press note from the BCCI in certain days,” said Saikia when questioning development.
Nayar, 41, a former versatile who played three ODIs but was largely a domestic pillar with 103 first class games, did not respond to a text message sent by PTI.
