Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, said on Monday that he had retired from boxing a few weeks after undergoing a second consecutive defeat in the hands of Oleksandr Usyk. “I’m going to do this short and sweet,” said the British fighter in an article on social networks. “I would like to announce my boxing retirement.” “It was an explosion, I loved every minute,” added Fury, who previously ceased to go back to the ring. The “Gypsy King”, 36, fought on December 21 for the last time when he lost his revenge match against WBA, WBC and WBO Usyk champion in Riyadh.
Asked after the fight if the public would see him fight, Fury said, “You might do, you might not do it. Who knows?”
Fury appreciated two relays as heavy goods vehicles and retired with a record of 34 wins, two defeats and a draw.
He announced that he arrested after defeating Dillian Whyte in April 2022 but returned to action later that year.
Frank Warren, who promotes Fury, told the BBC that he had not spoken to the boxer before his retirement announcement.
“I completely said that there was no way to try any way to influence it,” said Warren.
“If what he wants to do, it’s great. He has done everything he can do. Probably the best British heavyweight of his generation from afar.
“Twice world champion, two fights closely fought against Usyk. He has a lot of money, had his mind about him, has a charming family. May God bless him, enjoy.”

The Ukrainian won his first fight in May 2024 by shared decision.
Fury’s retirement seems to mean that he will not accept another former world champion, Anthony Joshua, in a fully advantageous force test for a long time.
Joshua said on Saturday that a fight with Fury “was to perform this year”.
And Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn de Matchroom said he was doubted that it was the end of the road to Fury.
“If you no longer have a heart for that and you don’t want to compete anymore, I think retirement is the best option,” said Hearn.
“Obviously designating for British combat fans because we have had the chance to make the biggest boxing of boxing, but if it is the last time that we have seen a great career. I doubt it (this is the last time that we will see it box).”

He was then out of the ring for more than two and a half years, during which he resolved mental health problems.
