Kush Maini won the victory in Monte Carlo Sprint race for the Lucas Oil dams, converting pole position on the Monaco circuit. The Indian driver retained the talent of the Alpine Gabriele Minì academy, which finished second for Prema Racing, and became the first Indian pilot to win a race in the emblematic. “P1, first Indian to win in Monaco too. It is a great honor and a dream come true. I mean thank you to the dams and to all those who supported me. We continue to believe!” said Maini.
Maini took the perfect beginning, but Luke Browning fell into order in the fifth round 1. His bad getaway allowed Gabriele Minì to climb to P2.
In Mirabeau, Lindblad attempted a pass on Jak Crawford for the third, but the contact between the two allowed Browning to retreat the fourth and in front of the American. The Campos driver emerged from the entanglement in third, but then received a penalty of 10 seconds for having caused a collision.
With the activated DRS, Minì was on the rear wing of the leader of the race, the gap oscillating at 0.3 s in the first 10 laps while the pair pulled more than eight seconds away from Lindblad in third.
The gap was neutralized in the 12th round when the safety car was deployed to recover the Aix racing car from Joshua Duerksen. The Paraguayan driver was left in the barriers before holder after contact with Oliver Goethe of Mirabeau Mp Motorsport who left the Aix with end -of -race damage.
Back in the race conditions entering the 15 round, Maini escaped from the DRS range in Minì behind while Lindblad had brown on his gearbox in the battle for the third on the road.
Goethe was again in motion, sneaking his MP car inside Victor Martins at the Rascasse to take P9 on the road. The contact between the pair led to a 10 -second time penalty for Goethe.
With 10 laps to go, Minì was back less than 0.2 s from the head of the race, while Lindblad had dropped by more than 10 seconds in order to set an end of the race to minimize his time penalty.
The Red Bull Junior team driver was invited to push in the 22nd round, and he immediately increased his pace to put a stamp between him and Browning.
In the last round, he was on Minì’s rear wing in second with Maini a few other seconds at the top of the road.
With the applied Lindblad time penalty, he gave Browning P3 and dropped the Campos driver in the eighth position.
