Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim said the good times will come back for the Red Devils while he apologized for supporters for a “disaster” of a season on Sunday. United ended the Premier League season in 15th place – their worst arrival since the English Giants were relegated to 1974. The defeat against Tottenham in the Europa League final assured that United has no European football next season for the second time in 35 years. Amorim took charge in November but accepted the responsibility of his inability to transform things in an address to the supporters after a 2-0 victory against Aston Villa in the last match of the United campaign.
“I want to apologize for this season. I know you are really disappointed with me and the team,” said the Portuguese coach.
“But now we have to make a choice. We are stuck in the past because this season is in the past, it’s over. Or we are holding together and moving forward.
“Six months ago after my first three games in charge with two victories and a draw, I told you” the storm came “.
“Today after this disaster season, I want to tell you that the good days are coming.
“If there is a club in the world that can overcome any season, any disaster, it’s our club, it’s Manchester United.”
