“Has Set An Example…”: Childhood Coach’s High Praise For Virat Kohli

On Monday, Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma said his illustrious neighborhood had given the example by leaving test cricket at the top of his career. Kohli, 36, said his inspiring sleeves in the traditional format on Monday, marking 9,230 points of 123 games with 30 hundred to an average of 46.85. He will only play in the ODIs now, after having already retired from T20 Internationals last year. “He gave the example by leaving a summit. We have often seen that our cricket players do not have a good retirement, but it is a retirement that everyone wants. You have a lot of cricket and could have played. So that has always been the style of Virat,” Sharma told Pti Videos.

“I’m going to talk to him, but it’s his decision. I appreciate his decision. And I salute his contribution, what he did for the country, his contribution to the Indian team. It is very remarkable and legendary,” he added.

Kohli is the distinction of being the most successful test captain in India, leading the team to 40 wins over 68 games.

“Everyone knows that when he became a captain, he changed all the culture of the Indian team, on the physical form, the victories abroad. It is therefore a very great contribution. It was a legendary career. And I am really proud of him,” said Sharma.

Sharma said Kohli’s Test Cricket’s retirement shocked the country and was flooded with messages to convince the starred striker to reconsider his decision.

“It’s a very emotional moment for all Indians. His fans and other compatriots ask me to convince Virat Kohli. We want to see him in the Whites playing for India. Thousands of requests came by saying that you should have a word with him. He listens to you,” he said.

“Lots of cricket is left in him. And people love him. This is the best part.”
