Launching on June 3, 2025, the project will present an Avatar collection and an immersive experience that reinvents Indian mythology for world players and digital natives.
At the heart of this initiative is the vision of producer Madhu Mantena, “bringing Indian mythology and history, in all its glory, in the lives of young Indians”. As the founder of mythovers and famous film producer, Mantena has long pleaded for a new mythological universe – one where the great epics of India are animated by cinema, animation, game and beyond.
This launch marks the start of this universe in web3. Developed in partnership with Bharatbox, the experience recounts the trip of Krishna – Gokul pastoral landscapes with its legendary confrontation with Kamsa – through 2850 unique playable avatars, extending on five rare levels: common, not very announced, rare, epic and legendary.
The motorway list opens on May 27, with the strike from June 3, and the Avatar Reveal, and Krishna XP’s experience launched on June 10. The Krishna XP will allow players to embark on mythical quests, to unlock the areas of secret traditions, to win awards in the game and to experiment with ancient accounts through interactive narrations.
“These are not just digital collectibles,” explains Mantena. “This is narration for the future. Krishna represents joy, wisdom and rebellion – the qualities that the world needs to engage differently today. With Bharatbox and the sandbox, we were the cultural depth with gamified technology to reintroduce these stories to a new generation. ”
Bharatbox, a key partner of this company, is at the forefront of Indian content at the Sandbox, a worldly recognized decentralized metavenic platform that has organized experiences for Snoop Dogg, Warner Music Group and Ubisoft. With more than 75 experiences launched and 28+ Indian IPS on board, Bharatbox has become the nucleus of Indian culture in the web3.
Karan Keswani, CEO of Bharatbox, adds: “We build more than a game – we build a cultural exploitation system for metovers. The partnership with Mythovre allows us to honor the heritage of the narration of Indian epics, while translating them into participative formats gamified for the global public. ”
This project is also an important step for the sandbox, which continues to allow global creators and studios to build immersive and decentralized worlds. The Krishna XP joins an increasing range of experiences in the sandbox which explore identity, history and imagination – now with Indian mythology as a central pillar.
While the entertainment industry evolves towards more immersive and interoperable ecosystems, this partnership positions Indian mythology not only as an old heritage, but as a future culture: designed to be played, felt and recalled.
