HS Prannoy Makes Early Exit From Badminton Asia Championships

On Wednesday, the Indian Naveter HS Prannoy made an early release of the badminton championships in Asia when he lost against Zu Guang Lu de China during the male opening tour in Ningbo, China on Wednesday. Prannoy, who has not been to his best since his presence as Chikengunya, lost against his Chinese opponent 16-21 21-12 11-21 in a round of 32 games which lasted an hour and eight minutes. Kiran George, however, went to the pre-quarters with a victory of 21-16, 21-8 against Dmitriy Panarin of Kazakhstan in 35 minutes.
In simple feminine, Aakarshi Kashyap and Anupama Upadhya have lost their respective matches to crash the tournament.
While AKARSHI lost to the number three world Han Yue de China 13-21 7-21 in 31 minutes, Anupama was beaten by the world number 13 and the eighth Thailand Ratchanok’s serial from Thailand 13-21 14-21 in 36 minutes.
In female double, Priya Konjengbam and Shruti Mishra suffered a defeat against Shuo Yun Sung from Chinese Taipei and dog Hui yu 11-21 13-21 in 35 minutes.
In male double, the unprecedented duo of Hariharan Amsakarunan and Kumar Rethinasabapathi ribbon beat the Sri-Lankan pair of Madhuka Dulanjana and Lahiru Weerasinghe 21-3, 21-12 in just 19 minutes in turn 32.
However, the Indian duo of Pruthvi Krishnamurthy Roy and Sai Pratheek K lost against the Chinese pair of Taipei of Chiu Hsiang Chieh and Wang Chi-Lin 19-21 12-21.
Lakshya Sen and the PV Sindhu will play their respective male and female matches later in the day.
