The first Indian League 2025 has been postponed for a week due to the growing tensions between India and Pakistan. While uncertainty is looming during the edition, the former drummer of England Dawid Malan shared a soft reminder for India. In particular, India should play a series of five -game tests against England from June 20. It will be the start of the campaign for India in the 2025-27 world championship cycle. Malan recalled the series to India and said that if the tournament failed to resume after a week, it could be moved in September.
“If this does not happen in a week in India or Sri Lanka or somewhere like that, I suppose that they will start in September. They obtained a massive series of tests against England in a few months, and the IPL must be finished before that or start with logistics, it is completely a headache for the organizers,” said Dawid Malan, speaking on Logisticic Al Arabiya.
“I guess they have to wait and see how next week take place in terms of safety problems for players and residents of both countries,” he added.
The decision to stop IPL 2025 for a week came to the back of cross -border tensions intensifying Thursday evening, leading to pannies of panic to Jammu, Udhampur and Pathankot while air strikes and drones from Pakistan have taken over the sky.
This led the game between the kings of Punjab and the capitals of Delhi canceled at the HPCA stadium in Dharamshala, about 80 km from Pathankot, after 10.1 overs of the first rounds were completed.
