India Begins Olympics 2036 Preparation, To Have 10 Olympic Training Centres: Sources

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) began its preparation for the 2036 Olympic Games, because India will have 10 Olympic training centers. According to sources, each center will have a discipline and 150 athletes will be brought to them. The athletes will be chosen from Khelo India. KHELO India youth games will take place at Bihar from May 4 to 15 with around 10,000 athletes and more. The games will take place in different cities in Bihar and it will have 28 sports in total.
Earlier, the president of the newly elected International Olympic Committee (IOC), Kristy Coventry, was expected that India organized the 2036 Games, saying that she will reveal her “ideas” on the selection of the future host in the coming days.
Coventry, 41, was elected president of the IOC on Thursday to become the first woman and the first African to obtain the greatest work in world sports.
When they were asked if there was a chance that India’s candidacy be converted into “accelerated targeted dialogue” before the outgoing president Thomas Bach left office on June 23, Coventry said: “In the end, there is a process in place and this process is underway and which will remain, to my knowledge, for the next few months.” “I think we have to involve members in the selection of the future host and I have few ideas and I may be willing to share them, could be next week,” she said at the press conference after her election.
She will take care of the president of the Bach IOC on June 23, the Olympic day, after three months of transition period.
The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) submitted “the expression of interest” to the future Host Commission of the IOC to host the 2036 games, making the first concrete step in an ambitious plan after months of informal dialogue with the supreme organization.
More than 10 countries, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia, have expressed their interest in hosting the 2036 Olympic Games, although we do not yet know how much or what other nations have officially done.
With the submission of the “letter of intention”, India has gone from “informal dialogue” to the “continuous dialogue” stadium of the host’s electoral process. At this stage, the IOC is “feasibility” of the progress of projects associated with the games of the potential host.
The next phase of the process would be “targeted dialogue”, which would require the submission of an official offer specific to publishing, which would be assessed by the future host commission. The process would finally end with a host election.
It is unlikely that a decision on the 2036 host is before 2026.
