Indian Shuttlers To Attend Preparatory Camp In Guwahati Ahead Of Asia Mixed Team Championship

The Badminton Indian contingent, including the best players like PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen, will put the final touch on their preparations before the mixed teammate of Badminton Asia during a five -day preparatory camp, from Guwahati on Tuesday. Having won a bronze in the 2023 edition, the Indian team will aim to improve their performance and guarantee a better medal during the prestigious event, scheduled in Qingdao, China, from February 11 to 16. The Indian team is expected to leave for the tournament on February 8.
The secretary general of Badminton Association of India (BAI), Sanjay Mishra, stressed that the camp will offer a precious exhibition to young players of the National Center of Excellence, which gives them the opportunity to train alongside the country’s elite players.
“… A senior team camp here will also allow juniors the opportunity to learn from the best in the country while offering the best talents in India to train together and create an ideal team link environment before this major team event,” Mishra said in a statement.
“In addition to the technical skills that will be transmitted, the camp is designed to strengthen the values of the discipline, teamwork and sporting spirit among the members of the team. Players will have a complete development experience that prepares them for future challenges.” The double Olympic medalist Sindhu and the semi-finalists of the Paris Olympic Games, Lakshya Sen, will lead an Indian team of 14 members, who also presents the gold medalists from Asian games Satwiaksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, with Hs Prannoy, a bronze medal of the world and Asian games.
