IPL 2025 Can Be Completed Outside India? England Great Says “Have All The…”

The BCCI has decided to suspend the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for a week in the middle of the growing tensions between India and Pakistan. The decision would have been made after the concerns presented by the two franchises as well as the foreign players. Although nothing concrete has been announced concerning the future of the tournament, IPL Sources said that a meeting will be held in a week to decide the new places as well as the competition calendar. The former captain of England Michael Vaughan suggested that the competition could be completed in the United Kingdom because he needs all the necessary infrastructure. He also said Indian players could stay behind for the next series of tests.
“I wonder if it is possible to finish the IPL in the United Kingdom … We have all the Indian sites and players can then stay for the test series .. just a thought?” He posted on X (formerly Twitter).

On Friday, the decision was made by the BCCI after cross -border tensions intensified Thursday evening, leading to Panus breakdowns in Jammu, Udhampur and Pathankot, while air strikes and Pakistan drones resumed the sky. This led the match between the kings of Punjab and the capitals of Delhi canceled at the HPCA stadium in Dharamshala after 10.1 overs of the first heats were completed.
With the closure of Dharamshala airport and other cities in northern India, players and DC support staff, as well as match officials, commentators, distribution crew members and other key members linked to IPL were evacuated from Dharamshala by a bus that took them to Jalandhar on Friday morning.
The BCCI also declared that the decision had been taken by the IPL board of directors, including the president of Saikia and IPL, Arun Dhumal, after consulting all the key stakeholders following representations of most of the franchisees, who transmitted the concern and the feelings of their players as well as the views of the broadcaster, sponsors and fans.
“While the BCCI rests full confidence in the strength and preparation of our armed forces, the board of directors has considered it prudent to act in the collective interest of all stakeholders.
“The board of directors salutes bravery, the courage and altruistic service of our armed forces, whose heroic efforts under operation Sindoor continue to protect and inspire the nation, because they lead a resolute response to the recent terrorist attack and the aggression unjustified by the armed forces of Pakistan.”
“While the cricket remains a national passion, there is nothing bigger than the nation and its sovereignty, its integrity and its security of our country. The BCCI remains firmly determined to support all the efforts which save India and will always align its decisions in the best interest of the nation,” said Saikia.
