Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) was ahead of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by five counters in their Indian Premier League match (IPL) on Friday, keeping their hopes for playoffs. Harshal Patel won a four brothers while SRH played CSK for 154, before Ishan Kishan, Kamindu Mendis and Nitish Kumar Reddy play practical cameos to see their side with eight balls to lose. With his defeat, CSK almost removed from the playoff race even though SRH remained theoretically alive. CSK remained at the bottom of the dots table while SRH jumped a place to get up in eighth place. It was SRH’s first victory at the Chepauk against CSK.

Sent in the bat, Chennai Super Kings was overthrown for 154. In response, SRH finished the task in 18.4 Overs with Ishan Kishan (44), Kamindu Mendis (32 Not Out) and Nitish Reddy (19 not out) to the bat.

Earlier, with the exception of Dewald Brevis, who obtained the best score for CSK with a 25-ball 42, and Ayush Mhatre, who made 30 deliveries in 19, CSK strikers had trouble making the game unmissable.

Harshal was the sinking of SRH with the ball, returning excellent 4/28 figures in four overs while the skipper Pat Cummins bordered too well to choose 2/21.
