ISL Clubs Condemn Pahalgam Terror Attack, Bengaluru FC To Wear Black Armband Against Inter Kashi




On what is really a sad day for the country, football clubs in all regions of India went to social networks to express their sorrow following a devastating terrorist attack at the Pahalgam of Jammu-et-Cachemire. The Bengaluru FC confirmed that they would observe a minute of silence and will wear black armbands as a mark of respect during their confrontation against Inter Kashi on Wednesday in the eighth of the Kalinga Super Cup final. “The Bengaluru FC is in solidarity with the victims, their families and all the people affected in the #pahalgamattack. A minute of silence will be observed before the #KalingasuPupcup of today’s respect, where the Blues will wear black armbands as a mark of respect,” published BFC.

The terrorist attack took place in the Baisaran valley, a picturesque meadow located in Pahalgam, a popular tourism destination about 30 miles southeast of Srinagar on Tuesday, sending shock waves across the country.

“We are in solidarity with the families of the victims of #pahalgam and offer our greatest condolences. Let those who have lost their lives rest in peace, and that the wounded find strength and healing,” read the post by the winners of the Mohun Bagan Super Giant League.

“We, at the Odisha FC, are dismayed by the loose attacks targeting tourists in Pahalgam, in cashmere. Our thoughts and our prayers are with the family of the deceased and we wish a quick recovery to the wounded. Such acts of violence do not have its place in our society,” posted Odisha FC.

“What happened in Pahalgam is heartbreaking beyond the words. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. We are in solidarity with all those affected by this appalling act,” posted the Kerala Blasters

The terrorist outfit based in Pakistan, the Front Resistance, an emanation of the Lashkar-E-Taiba prohibited, claimed the responsibility of the aggression, marking one of the worst attacks in the region in recent years.

“Our thoughts are with all those who are affected by the tragic attack in Pahalgam. We mourn the lost lives and are united with their families during this period of sorrow,” said Mumbai City.

“Thinking and praying for each life affected by the tragedy in Pahalgam today. OM Shanti,” read the Jamshedpur FC post.
