LSG Owner Sanjiv Goenka Offers Prayers At Tirupati Tirumala




The president of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka group and owner of the IPL Super Giants team from Lucknow, Sanjiv Goenka, and his family visited the Tirupati Tirumala temple and offered prayers. The temple, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, considered an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is one of the most visited religious sites in India, attracting millions of faithful each year. The visit of Sanjiv Goenka and his family at the Temple took place a day before the restart of this season of the Indian Premier. IPL was suspended for a week due to tensions between India and Pakistan.

Earlier Thursday, the pace of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Mayank Yadav was excluded from the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to an injury.

IPL has published a statement announcing the decision. Yadav, 22, was replaced by the New Zealand stimulator Will O’Rourke. He broke with a back injury.

“The Super Giants of Lucknow (LSG) entered the New Zealand stimulator, William O’Rourke, replacing Mayank Yadav injury,” the statement said.

“Yadav has undergone a back injury and is excluded for the rest of the season,” added the statement.

O’Rourke will be its replacement at an RS 3 reserve price.

Rourke represented New Zealand in five T20is, taking five counters at an average of 28.60. In 38 T20, he took 37 counters with an average of 26.05.
