Bollywood film JaatWith Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda, has aroused controversy since its release on April 10. The Christian community has raised objections to a scene showing Randeep within a church, some members demanding the ban on the film.

The controversial scene shows Randeep Hooda standing in a church, under a crucifix positioned above the sacred pulpit. Another part of the clip presents members of the praying congregation. The trailer also includes references to violence occurring within the Church, which has been deemed offensive by the Christian community.
Several leaders of the Christian community have expressed strong objections, affirming that the representation of the film has harmed their religious feelings and failed to respect the sacred character of the chair of the Church. An online circulating video also shows that demonstrators chant slogans like “Randeep Hooda Murdabad”.
The Christian community had initially intended to organize demonstrations outside the screening of theaters JaatBut the police intervention interrupted the demonstrations. Instead, the representatives submitted a memorandum to the joint commissioner, demanding the ban on the film and legal action against distribution and the crew for having allegedly injured religious feelings. They issued an ultimatum of 48 hours, warning protests if no measure is taken within the deadline.

Jaat Follows the story of a mysterious man, played by Sunny, who arrives in the village of Chirala, Andhra Pradesh, and finds him suffering under the reign of Ranatunga (Randeep) and his wife Bharathi (Regina). Which starts as a minor confrontation soon degenerates, and the protagonist decides to fight against oppression against the villagers.
Released in theaters on April 10, the film received mixed criticism. According to Sacnilk, he crossed the 50 sterling books mark in less than a week, collecting around 6 drivers of driving on Tuesday and bringing his total to 53.50 Rubies in India in India.
