While the nation and the film industry cry the loss of the actor and legendary filmmaker Manoj Kumar, who died at the age of 87 on April 4, 2025, his family held a prayer meeting one day after his funeral.

During the event, a video of the veteran actress Jaya Bachchan in a tense exchange with a fan of the elderly, who was seen asking for a photo, stormed social media.
In the video, Jaya Bachchan is seen talking to a group of women when an elderly woman’s tape on the shoulder, surprising. While Jaya turns around, a man, probably with the elderly woman, tries to take their photo on her phone. When the woman offers a handshake, Jaya pushes her hand and rumbles the man for taking photos for such an occasion.
The video generated mixed fans’ responses, some supporting his reaction and others criticized him. An Instagram user wrote: “People have to stop the culture of celebrity worship and stop putting these coarse celebrities on a pedestal at the cost of their self-respect”, while another defended the actress declaring: “Fans, why don’t you learn basic ways?”
In memory of the film legend, many Bollywood actors paid tribute, notably Shah Rukh Khan, Saira Banu, Aamir Khan, Asha Parekh, Rakesh Roshan, Sonu Nigam, Farhan Akhtar, Subhash Ghai, Udit Narayn, Anu Malik, Esha Deol and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
